Little ones and blind chains do not mix, so every chain comes with a safety tensioner fixed to the wall. Even better, spring rollers have no chain at all; you just pull the bottom bar. A double roller is a smart idea for a box room that is a playroom by day and a spare bed by night.
Rollers are also a great way to brighten up a room on a budget. A cheerful print in a kitchen or a soft pastel in a nursery costs much the same as a plain fabric.
Most fabrics wipe or dust clean, and PVC ones handle the odd splash from the sink.
